Baldwin Valley, Isle Of Man Pen Watercolour 12" x 19" signedThis is one of two super oil paintings on card by the well regarded artist William Hoggatt that come with first class provenance. They have come direct from a private collection where they have been since purchased in 1951. The garden painting depicts Moya Livesey, a personal friend, with whom Hoggatt was enjoying afternoon tea, at his home at Darrag, Port Erin, Isle of Man. He painted her with his tea knife, making this a fine example of an impasto
