Hand Carved Fang African mask small - 204.2 Service Staff Please note: there is aA small hand carved Fang Ngil mask from Gabon Hand carved in the tradition of the Fang people of Gabon, whose white faced Ngil masks are celebrated for their elegant abstraction of the human face the heart shaped hollow, the long tapering nose and serene, closed features. Worn by initiates of the Ngil society, the masqueraders would appear by torchlight after dark. A small sculptural piece lovely on a shelf or ledge, or grouped for a wall display.
